In New Brunswick, a large group of counter-protesters, in support of drag performers and LGBTQ2S+ rights, faced off with a much smaller rally opposing drag storytime events.
Family-friendly, drag storytime performances for children have become frequent targets of hatred and backlash against the LGBTQ2S+ community.
As Heather Yourex-West reports, it’s happening as far-right attacks on the community seem to be on the rise.
